Pink Floyd “Back” Catalogue Poster
The Classic 1997 Pink Floyd “Back” Catalogue Poster
By raul on July 19, 2012 in Pink Floyd
This classic picture commissioned by EMI in 1997, to cleverly advertise the release of the “back” catalogue of Pink Floyd was taken at a private indoor pool in Putney (London Borough of Wandsworth) by photographer Tony May in 1996. The unknown nude models had the cover art of six Pink Floyd albums painted onto their backs by artist Phyllis Cohen.
UPDATE June 2015: I have received several messages from the actual models in the photo shoot. All of them are named below. Thank you Kimberley Cowell for reaching out to feelnumb.com.

Classic album covers get the Lego treatment
Classic album covers get the Lego treatment
Never Mind The Artwork Here's The Lego
The work of British artist Aaron Savage, the idea is a simple one: reconstruct a host of music’s finest album covers – and Muse’s Absolution – using only Lego. Pleasingly, it all works, the endearing simplicity of Lego chiming with rock’n’roll’s playful immediacy.

Storm Thorgerson 2
Storm Thorgerson
Storm Elvin Thorgerson

Historyshots, porfolio
We live where history, data, and art converge.
We started designing and selling high quality original graphics that
combine lots of information with thoughtful designs in 2003. As pioneers
of the business of selling prints based on data and design, we relied
on our love of maps, history and statistical graphics to carry us
through the steep learning curve. Even though our work has won numerous
design awards and has been featured in dozens of visual information
design publications we're still striving to create new and interesting
graphics!

Rather than just create another infographic site that displays the same infographics you can find at many other sites, we have tried to showcase only infographics that are some of the best, which may simply mean they are more creative, experimental or even vintage and rarely seen. We also include infographics that were created for print media, both now and from the past, as well as digital infographics created for today. But we try to show something you haven’t seen before and we try to only show the best infographics.

Fernando Baptista – La infografía hecha arte

Sr.werty
